Meet Our Director: Vince Giordano

Vince Giordano is the 11th library director of the Juniata County Library and has been with the library since April 2015. He works with diverse learners to expand their knowledge, find resources, and help navigate our changing world. In over nine years working in urban, medical, and rural libraries varying in size he has assisted a wide variety of readers and learners with unique interests and desires related to information. He believes in assisting learners of all ages to find the information in various formats that they need so to advance their lives and learning literacies. 

Vince oversees daily operations of the library and works in a variety of settings within the library, including working with the board of trustees to strategically place the library in the community, managing technology infrastructure, coordinating volunteers, buying books, training staff and writing 2 articles a week for the local newspapers.

Vince earned a Bachelors in History and Secondary Education from Shippensburg University in 2009 and a Masters in Library Information Science (MLIS) from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016. In his free time, he volunteers with the GPS app Waze, drives for Uber and Lyft and helps his wife with their horses.
