Meet Our Director: Vince Giordano

Vince Giordano is the 11th library director of the Juniata County Library and has been with the library since April 2015. He works with diverse learners to expand their knowledge, find resources, and help navigate our changing world. In over 10 years working in urban, medical, and rural libraries varying in size, he has assisted a wide variety of readers and learners with unique interests and desires related to information. He believes in assisting learners of all ages to find the information in various formats that they need so to advance their lives and learning literacies. 

Vince oversees daily operations of the library and works in a variety of settings within the library, including working with the board of trustees to strategically place the library in the community, managing the library's technology infrastructure, coordinating volunteer activities, buying books, training staff and writing a weekly column for the local newspapers.

Vince serves in a volunteer capacity as the Chair of the Teaching, Learning, and Technology Roundtable with the Pennsylvania Library Association as well as the President of the SPARK User Group Board.  

Vince earned a Bachelors in History and Secondary Education from Shippensburg University in 2009 and a Masters in Library Information Science (MLIS) from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016.
